banana bread

Banana bread is one of the most wonderfully easy things to make when you're lounging around the house over the weekend, and you happen to have a couple of browning squishy bananas. I'm also totally obsessed with this cheese board slate I received a few years ago for Christmas - it makes everything look extra photogenic.

amansara, cambodia

Summer in Cambodia is hot, humid, and sticky. Amansara is a beautiful hotel; with back entrances to Angkor Wat, the property was once residences for guests of the king. Mornings are spent running around exploring temples, followed by lounging around indoors or in a cool dipping pool at the peak of the afternoon heat. Late afternoons are reserved for more temple running as there is an (ever so slight) drop in temperature, and evenings are for retiring early to bed as wake-up calls are at the crack of dawn.

Explore, rinse, explore, repeat.

homemade granola

Granola is such a great add on to yogurt, or cereal, and the brands provided in supermarkets tend to be pretty high in sugar. Making your own is wonderfully easy, and you can tweak it to exactly how you like your granola.

Ingredients...
- rolled oats
- cinnamon
- pepitas
- salt
- raisins
- almonds
- vanilla extract
- honey
- oil (olive or coconut)

How to...
- Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl
- Spread on a large roasting tray and roast for 15-20 minutes depending on your toasty-ness preference

osaka, nara & kyoto

Japan is always a dream to visit. Food is always in the most beautiful packaging, people are wonderfully polite, and everything is always spotlessly clean. Osaka is one of Japan's largest cities -  known for its street food and nightlife, Dotonbori is a must-see. Nara & Kyoto are both quick, easy train rides away, and full of historic and unique personality.

londolozi

Londolozi was a safari experience truly like no other. Not that I've gone on any other safaris, but our time there was exceptional. The property is beautiful, and is one South Africa's original private game reserves. From the interiors of the treehouse camps, to the warm welcome of the Londolozi staff - you feel right at home in the heart of the African bush.
